If you do not want to manually approve your child's new contacts, you can enable auto-approve. You will still receive a notification that a new contact has been added, however.
- Swipe up on the child card.
- Tap the three dots in the upper corner.
- Select Child Settings at the top.
- Toggle auto approve contacts.
- Tap the X to save and exit.
